FrameTag
The Universal Animation Game
Ok, so here’s the idea.
In the same vein as Layer Tennis, and a few other software tag style games, FrameTag is a tag style game that’s open to anybody, motionographers, stop-framers, photographers, illustrators, hobbyists and the guys and girls with iPhones etc, regardless of where you are, or what OS, software, or tools you have. There’s no clear winner, just the result of a mixed media collaboration that could look quite cool. There may be a poll after each session to nominate “a frame of greatness”, but I’m still a little unsure about this.
Proposed FrameTag Rules & Regulations
1) The FrameTag game will be split into sessions restricted by length, and have a theme, this may possibly be a soundtrack, not sure yet.
2) There will be a time limit for submissions, of which I’m not sure yet, but it will be enough time to sort stuff out, but not so long as it drags the game on.
3) The sessions participants must be registered in my big black book, (otherwise known as an excel databse,) will be picked at random and notified by email.
4) Groups of people, such as design companies, educational institutes etc, can register as a single entrant, but it’s up to you to organise your group.
5) All submissions must be at a resolution of 512 x 288. Hopefully this should be ok for everybody, any forseeable problems with it, let me know.
6) The direction that FrameTag goes in, will be as open as possible, with you the community deciding as often as possible through polls, what happens.
I’ll piece the animation together as it takes shape and post the results here on terrasecond.co.uk
If you’d like to be put on the initial register for FrameTag, drop me a message saying so using the contact page.
And so we come to the first polls. SO GET VOTING!
